Sajani Kasavan graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2013. She commenced her legal career by undertaking her pupillage at Messrs Renuka Rabindranath & Associates and was subsequently admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2014.
She began her practice at Messrs Desmond Chan & Jeff Law, where she was exposed to a broad spectrum of conveyancing matters, including property development projects, perfection of transfer and charge, and refinancing transactions involving various financial institutions.
In 2019, she joined Messrs Koo Cheong & Sony Shee, where she focuses primarily on subsale transactions for both conventional and Islamic financing, as well as refinancing matters. She has substantial experience acting for both individual and corporate clients in transactions involving a wide range of local financial institutions.
Her practice also includes advising on and drafting tenancy agreements for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. She is well-versed in handling landlord and tenant matters, including negotiations, renewals, and ensuring compliance with relevant legal and contractual requirements.
She is experienced in handling both conventional banking facilities and non-conventional (Islamic) financing structures, including Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA), loan documentation, security documentation, and related advisory work. Her familiarity with banking procedures enables her to effectively liaise with financial institutions and ensure smooth and timely completion of transactions.
